by Gavin Milloy on Loca Luna is a good place if you want to have a taste of a Latin night out, great live salsa and other Latin rhythms, but mainly salsa. They have a broad age range clientele. The food is ok but not their main attraction. Good drinks.
by Robt Traunfeld on I have been to many fine and not so fine venues in the western states, the Cat Club ranks near the top of my list of must go places. The place does not appear to be very large as far as night club goes, but it does extend deep into the building it is in. There are two dance floors and DJ stations, the first one being as soon as you come through the black curtains at the front door and the second at the far back. The bartenders all seem to be courteous and are efficient in their order taking. I have to say the Vodka Tonics are to die for and after the $9 sticker shock wears off for the Kettle One they are really tasty. The music when I have been there ranges from '80s to music from the goth/industrial/ebm scene. The DJ's have been top names from the Bay Area and beyond.
