Fun Hollywood Blvd spot for food AND drinks! Great decor and very friendly staff, make for a fun night out on the town. Cocktails are a little weak, but there's a nice selection of bottled and tap beer as well. The dining room takes up a good portion of the space, and there's a variety of table sizes. If you have a large party, you can reserve a secluded room. Food is pretty tasty - and pretty good for bar food. Chips and salsa are good, and the plates are pretty standard mainstream fare. Bathrooms are clean and the place has a cool, chill vibe. And, you never know who you might see bellying up to the bar here!

We found this place by accident when we were looking for a place to eat before a show at the Independant. the lady the served us was really cool and put together two huge platters of stuff for us to try. The food was really good and the list of beers was impressive. The best thing about this place is it looks totally sketchy from outside but it's a totally normal bar inside. Love it!

I've frequented my share of clubs in Hollywood and I have to say that LAX could have been better... Don't get my wrong. The DJ was great and I thought that his music selection was pretty good and kept me dancing all night long. They have a cool jelly fish tank and the drinks were decently strong... What I didn't like about this place however was the lack of ventilation and air...even more stuffy and hot than a normal club packed full of drunk people. Honestly! I suppose LAX was a good name for the place because it really did feel like you were stuck in a plane...on a tarmac...with no electricity...for hours...under the beating sun. The worst part was that their "patio/smokers" area was covered, so it did not even serve as a good escape from the sauna inside. If they fix that, then the place could be cool. Its a bit small... but its Hollywood, so I can't fault this place for that.
