I don't like big clubs very much but Marbella is quite interesting. Marbella is a venue that I like but the owner might have some issues because he has changed the management several times since he re-opened the venue as Marbella. Honestly they have killed any buzz this venue could have generated. They had an Asian night, an urban night, a Latin night but none lasted very long. They also had issues with an automatic 20% tip then add to your credit card but I believe this has been STOPPED. I do like the interior and the staff, but its probably because they know me well. Also I like the new layouts, the DJ booth, stage, VIP area with a private bar and especially the patio. They should consider creating extra bathrooms on the patio though because the line for the bathroom is ridiculous. I secretly help out with promoting the venue on Saturdays. The crowd is mixed and the energy is very good. Its a shame that the owner did not find the right management to start with. If you need help with entry on Saturdays, hit me up. I went here on a Saturday night at around 12-1am. There was a $10 cover charge, but it's okay because this guy that we thought was just an annoying fratboy douchebag was so rich (or maybe so trashed) that he offered to buy us our drinks so he could order his drinks faster (we were in front of him). So he actually turned out to be cool. Yes! First round of drinks for free! I got this lychee and pineapple martini, which was delectably deeelicious!...and strong! Just the way a fruity drink should be. This place is pretty cool. It has three and a half areas that all play music (three areas play different music)--the first room that you enter into has the big bar and a long table with other tables and seats; the half room is like a sitting room; the third room has a smaller bar with a small dancefloor that plays hiphop and oldschool stuff, the bathroom, and coat check; and upstairs is kind of the lounging room that plays mellow get-high music. We got the pleasure of a blasted guy singing Bob Marley to us while talking on the phone and belching in our face. I had a great time here. The drinks are pretty tasty (though, some drinks tend to be too sweet), music is decent (though, I like the music at Beauty Bar better), not too filthy dirty like at Delirium, and I had a sexy, semi-hipster looking Aussie to grind on. =) Yeah, you will have to bring your own eye candy and/or boy toy; this place doesn't have any. Oh, and I somehow had a childhood/college reunion...randomly saw a girl I grew up with whom I hadn't seen for over 5 years, my coworker's ex boyfriend dancing like a madman, and a college friend. Cool.

One of the rare places in Hollywood where the cute bouncers and bartenders are always super nice and charming. The wait is minimal, if any. The outside area is great for a hot night with ample seating at the small fountains/pools. The inside dance floor is large and beautiful.
