by Jia B. on 2nd Best cheese steak in Philly, hands down. (1st is Pat's on South St.) And I lived there for 4 years! so I definitely had my share of cheese steaks! To all the people who rated this place with 1 star just because of their signs plastered everywhere... Ok... so they're blatantly and openly prejudiced... freedom of speech anyone? Although I don't share their views, I can appreciate their bold and adamant rebellion against what they feel is going on in the country. I think anyone and everyone has the right to post whatever statements they want, on both sides of any argument! MORE IMPORTANTLY, if you've been there... you OBVIOUSLY know that their racist signs and overt displays of hatred to non-americanism DO NOT AFFECT THEIR BUSINESS! They have a line of at least 10-40 people for cheese steaks at most times of day!! So just ignore the signs and posters that offend you, and enjoy the fantastic cheese steak!! (The fries are good too!)
by Tara Filbey on Came here on a cold and rainy day, so we couldn't enjoy the deck upstairs. Luckily, we were seated right at a window with a gorgeous view of the river despite the rain. The food was very delicious - we had the lobster bisque, lobster avocado salad, wasabi crusted sea bass, and scallops. The lobster bisque and scallops were definitely my favorite - both dishes were so rich and buttery - amazing! the only drawback was that the dishes got cold quickly and could be for 2 reasons - the draft from the window seat and that they don't serve on heated plates. But a great dining experience. This is definitely a romantic place (and pricey), not a pirate ship to take your kids to.
by Vicky L. on Ok... so the neighborhood is kinda creepy... As in I wouldn't even walk down in bright day light creepy, not to mention we saw a hooker around the corner! I enjoyed the range of music the played... but was slightly skeptical on the quality of the alky. Went home feeling dizzy and nauseous... Hm..... They were pretty inventive having stoplight night... They gave out colored wristbands in red, yellow, and green so that you know if that hot guy you're joshing is actually single (green), ready for you to convince him to leave his so so once in a while date (yellow), or NO TOUCHY! (red!)
