I got the Burrito Americano ($9.99) and it was shockingly bland, even when I added some hot sauce to it. The guacamole on my burrito was very yummy, but that burrito seriously needed some salsa! My friend also thought his pork tacos were a bit bland too, which he tried to fix with a dousing of hot sauce. I disagree with Daniel B. about Pure Taqueria being "upscale." The decor is industrial chic and clean, which gives off a casual hipster vibe. While the prices are higher than most casual Mexican places, the portions at Pure Taqueria are relatively large, and the service is very efficient and friendly. I would come here for the atmosphere, but not for the food. Bring cash to tip for your complimentary valet parking. Good for groups, but the music gets loud.

Outrageous cover charges for pay-per-view events... Just watched the Pacquiao v. De La Hoya fight at the Action Theater (a small, betting-style theater upstairs from Jillians, where booze and beer was served). Jillian's filled up. I paid $40 EACH for admission for me and a companion; then heard that my friends, who arrived later, paid $20 EACH. $40 to watch a fight on a big screen and the privilege of spending more on the booze (the cover didn't even include a drink ticket) is really high. Those guys made a killing, and not once did a waitress ask if I wanted another beer.

This "cafe", which is more like a lounge to me since I've only visited it during the night, is great. The drinks are served well as the waitresses are awesome. The atmosphere is extremely social and I've always had a blast with my friends here, whether they were Korean or not. Definitely a great spot for a few of those in New York that know.
