by Hyun Kager on Tao really is amazing. The food here is totally top notch... but very expensive. Expect to wait a bit for a table and if you drink $$$ at the bar. It's definitely worth the wait. We started off with shishito peppers, edamame, and some spicy tuna on crispy rice. They nailed all three bigtime! My entrees was the seared ahi tuna... if I didn't know better it was like the best filet mignon you ever had. Came with sauteed Chinese broccoli and we all split an order of vege pad Thai. Very good. Bar tab...$138, dinner $240+, walking back from Tao to Marriott marquis full and satisfied... priceless!
by Daria Overlock on This place is great! The salt and pepper lobster is always mouth-watering delicious and the chow foon noodles are soooo good. Beware, the take out portions are smaller than the dine-in portions (only what fits in those cute containers will go home with you).
by Molly K. on This is beautiful club, not my sun to shine in though. The music is ok, typical Top 40's that I've heard over and over again at Velvet Room. The lines are long, and it literally wraps half of the club up. So get there EARLY. The bar is way too full, need to be a little distanced off from the dancing crowd and the "trying to get my order down for 20 minutes" crowd. The dance floor is a good size, and it's cool that the VIP is included upstairs. Pretty spacious club, nice to look at the DJ in the center also.
