by Ray N. on Been here for the regular straight club thing, and also Tiger Heat. The straight club thing was whatevers-- it wasn't all that spectacular. Music wasn't even all that great. There weren't any go go dancers at all. However, there was a big area for dancing-- but it's usually pretty crowded. Cover charge is usually a little bit on the pricy end (~15?). Oh, and parking is usually overpriced unless you park like a block or two blocks away. Tiger Heat on the otherhand, is pretty damn epic. Gays everywhere. Care free environment-- which means you could seriously throw on anything and go clubbing. How amazing is that right? And to top it off, there were plenty of hot dancers from all races-- most of them looked pretty damn yummy. Cover charge was pretty cheap (~12). DJ wasn't bad-- but they definitely played AT LEAST a few gay favorites every Thursday night. However, DRINKS here pretty much suck because it's mostly ice. Oh, and there's a BUNCH of creepers (even on Tiger Heat nights). These creepers are usually Armenian guys that'll creep up on girls and won't leave. So straight ladies, if it's gay night, ya'll shouldn't wear anything too revealing cause those guys are seriously on a pussy hunt!
by Omar L. on Sure you can stay the Marriot or some other big chain hotel, which is great for business trips. But when out for pleasure these types of hotels rock! The room decor was was trendy and hip, comfortable bed and nice sheets. Hung out in the lobby after a night of drinking and lounged and the upser comfortable leather couches. Staff was very professional and attentive. I would definitley stay here again.
by Lorina Gutter on I was here over the weekend for a mutual friends going away party. Not knowing really what to expect, I threw on a cute shirt and a pair of heels and was out the door. Needless to say, as soon as I walked in, I immediately regretted the heels, and continued to regret them for the rest of the night. Why you ask? Well, as much fun as it is being 6'2 (in heels) in a crowded room full of extremely cute short indie boys, well, it wasn't. Damn you heels! Never again! But besides the minor heel debacle, I still had a lot of fun here. The DJ in one room was pretty legit, and the band in the other room was totally boss. Bravo band. The drinks were a little pricey, but seeing as I wasn't drinking that night, it was inconsequential and I didn't really care. The art that decorated the walls was phenomenal; I wanted to buy 2 or 3 pieces right there and then. It did get quite packed, but there was still room to move and it was pretty easy to converse with other people, which is always a plus. I will definitely be coming back here on a Wednesday night (I've heard its the cool place to be) and try it out again, this time, maybe some booze, and DEFINITELY no heels.
