Jenn B. was kind enough to invite me for a girl's night out...bowling! Of course, there would be some eating and drinking in between. You have two choices on how to pay for your bowling: per hour (unlimited games) or per game. We decided to bowl per game and have a couple of drinks. Our waitress was really nice and conversant and the drinks were much stronger than the time I was here for a corporate party (surprise, surprise). From all of that bowling, we worked up an appetite so we headed over to the lounge area, which is pretty swanky for a bowling alley. The first thing our waitress at the lounge did, before we even ordered anything, except water, was take the credit card to open a tab. How rude. She kept pressuring us to order drinks. "Do you want more WATER?" We were her only table in the place, but it still took her forever to come over, clear our plates, etc. We waited over 20 minutes between dinner and dessert! Oh, and the music was really weird - it was like Family Values Tour 1998 and TRL circa 1997. What made me really sad was that the busboy was more attentive than she was - HE was the one running to refill our water glasses and get us more milk for our milk and cookies, meanwhile she is pocketing most, if not all, of that tip. It was a fun night with the girls though, so I really can't complain!

I went here recently with my sister. It was her first time going out in Old City and the first thing she said was "I love the crowd here!" I noticed too. The men weren't your typical polo shirt preppies and almost everybody was wearing glasses. At that point a tall attractive man with a drink asked me if I was in the ALA. Come again? As it turns out, the American Librarian's Association was hosting a party there. We had a slammin time. The DJ was playing a great mix of Motown songs and we sang and danced with the librarians all night. GOLD. The art on the walls here is fascinating and a bit dark. It's quite a unique place. A little unpredictable, though. I've also been there on a Saturday night when it was very quiet and it was a good place to have a beer and chat with friends.

I really liked this place. I was only there for a short while and I was having a personal mix up. Like my BF couldn't find the place. I was there on an open-mic night and was hoping to be able to sit there, enjoy a drink and some food with my bf, unfortunately that didn't happen. I hope to go back and add a star or two to my review, by having a better overall experience. We'll see. It had nice ambiance though and I definitely want to go back for round 2.
