For years Webster Hall was my home.  I used to go there every weekend of every week.  I'd become known as one of the regulars there.  The drag queen in the front knew me.  The bouncers knew me.  The bartenders knew me. The staff inside knew me.  The bathroom staff knew me.  And the other regulars knew me. The one group I was never really able to befriend were the dancers, they "knew" me, but they never really spoke to me.  I remember one used to smile at me, Giselle, was/is her name, we sort of became friends since I was such a regular.. She was the only one that spoke to me, and she also kept her distance. I participated in amateur strip teases, singles auctions, on stage dancing, all kinds of stuff.  I literally had, and still have a lifetime free admission card to this place. I recently went with one of my buddies, Paul Oakenfold was playing there. It was packed, absolute madness.  The club was like it used to be when I went back in the day.  Packed and crazy. The last few times I've gone it was pretty dead, the music was crappy, and I had lost faith in the club.  Although it seems that things are picking up again judging by my last experience. I remember one time I had a few long island ice teas, I was so drunk that I let my cousin drag me to a desk, and I spoke to a dancer, signed some papers, and moved on.  Later on one of the females grabbed me and started dragging me around the club.. I was sort of aware of what was happening but I didn't care or register what, I just went along. Turns out I was entered into the Amateur strip tease contest and she was taking me to the dressing area.. In a haze I went up and competed ,  I pretty much stripped naked on the stage...  I was so hammered, I didn't give a hoot! I wasn't embarrased, I just danced and took off all of my clothes.  I came in 2nd place, losing only to a woman who also took off all her clothes. I do remember feeling awkward getting dressed afterwards though.  That was weird, and the looks from people that recognized me. One time at the club a guy I never saw before came up to me and said, "dude I saw your penis on the tv man, you were naked, you are crazy".. I tell you when I think back to that time, being in that waiting room waiting for my turn, with these half naked women, asking me what I thought about their breast, and if any pubes showed, etc.. It was crazy.... I felt like I was living in sin and going straight to hell back then... Get drunk, go into a room full of naked people, and you'll see what I mean.. LOL.... Absolutely insane... I think the only reason everyone didn't start banging each other was because of the show and also security and the sort....  I think I may have kissed a chick or 2 in that room.. I have a vague memory of a girl's tongue. I don't remember clearly... No sex though.... That's a small preview into Webster Hall. I haven't done any of those things in years, but as I understand it, the amateur strip tease is still alive and well. If you do go, then check the tv's, maybe I'll pop up naked.  Hahahah. The layout is very different now, seems like techno nights are back, and they also have live rock music at times.  If I want to dance, to this day the first place I think of is Webster Hall.  It is my go to club..

I never posted a review on rateclubs, but after coming to this club "Hwood" I felt it was a must. This place is rummaged with meat heads, dating coaches with their school of douche bags in the making and oddly dressed/drunk women. When driving to Hwood, you must pay close attention on Orange Dr. I did not even realize a club was located in that area (except the Highlands inside the mall) . Valet parking was pretty standard , and the club did not seem to have a lot of patrons last night. It did not take long at all to get inside. , I actually did like the interior design and structure of the facility. It's two stories so we wanted to tour the first floor. The first floor seemed more like a relaxation lounge and not many people at all. My friends and I found a spot with some decent couches and tables. Within the first 10 minutes of being there, a d-bag decided to hit up my friends and I and tried playing Rico Suave with us. As some of my friends went along with it, the d-bag decides to get my attention by pulling my hair and he got smacked right across the face. Another friend of mine decided to say something to him and the d-bag tried to scuffle with my friend that landed him in a choke hold.  So that was the first 10 minutes.. We then decided to try the upstairs which seemed to have fairly nice music and a nice outdoor, tented area. My friends and I wanted to try the dance floor which was quite small but nothing out of the ordinary from other clubs. It seems that show Jersey Shore has had an impact on the way club goers were here. I saw quite an unusual number of "fist pumpers" and meat heads just scavenging the dance floor. Not only were there the meat heads doing it, there was also a boot camp going on for men with no social skills being schooled by dating coaches. I have never seen soo many d-bags in training in my life! If a lady says not interested after one time, or you even see her body language postured in a timid way, it means there is no interest . One d-bag in particular was trying to get aggressive with a friend of mine, another friend tried to interfere and almost another scuffle happened. So unless you are planning to get hounded by d-bags, fist pump the night away, or possibly even end up in handcuffs from a fight during the night, stay away from Hwood!

Compound was a great club. Lots of different little rooms to mix and mingle with, people and music wise. The only problem to me was, the parking and the bathrooms. The rooms all have a different theme to them, like the garden which is outdoors and has a little pond and mini bridge, and the "ride" room which is basically white room with a huge dancefloor. It's a good spot to mingle and dance at. Each room is provided with music, so you go where the music may take you. Sad to see it go, hopefully the comeback will come soon.
