by Colleen M. on Have only been here once but it was a great last dinner on a recent trip to SF. We were looking for someplace dressy to go and this place definitely fit the bill. The interior was very cool and classy. It was also pretty quiet until about 9 or so, when some sporadic jazz started up, at which point talking became somewhat impossible. The pace of our meal was pretty slow, but that was alright since we had nowhere to be. It was actually nice to have time to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. The food was very good. We got the kobe "sushi" which I thought was very good. I ordered two actual sushi rolls for dinner and they were okay, not great (they weren't gross but I didn't really enjoy the flavors). My husband ordered lamb and said it was very good. We ordered the bleu cheese cheesecake for dessert and it was *amazing*. I'd go back again just for that.
by Marilou A. on I really doubt I would have enjoyed this place very much if I had to pay a $30 admission. But as it were, our company put on an event here and we all got in for free, they provided alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and they had a live band playing! They had bars laced through the exhibits and music playing through the speakers of the entire venue. I would absolutely suggest the Georgia Aquarium as a venue for a party or event. I noticed they had a small conference center and that they could easily fit rounds for dinner and cocktails throughout the main rooms and balconies. P.S. Make sure to checkout the jellyfish exhibit. It's AWE-SOME! =)
by Carli Boles on Wow. The Fiance and I LOVE SFU. We a decent distance away, so that prevents us from wearing the place out. We have been there a number of times and have never had a bad meal. A plus is that this place is reminiscent of an East Coast seafood bar. There is a great crowd there. Parking can be a bit sketchy at times, but don't worry about that! This place is so well worth it!!!!! We cannot get enough of the oysters. Mmm. I'm dying to go back right now just thinking about it.
