Aww, I love this place. I'm very picky when it comes to dance clubs. Too small and I get claustrophobic, too big and I cry in a corner .... this one was juuust right. Sweet sunken dance floor, enough bars to make sure everyone is nice and liquored up ... and I met some delightful Australian gentlemen one night there! The doormen are gems, too. Great sense of humor, and not too much of the holier-than-thou disease that seems to afflict many doormen in Hollywood

Whewww! Ok how should I start this. 1st let me say that i am not from Seattle, i was visiting from Texas. Only ran into about 3 Rateclubers this past week but that's cool. Anyway, it was a cold brisk nite and I decided to go and meet some friends at this club. I was staying at the Silvercloud Stadium so i caught a cab there. Got out the cab at about 10:45 pm and there was a line outside. It seemed as if everyone and their cousin was some sort of VIP or on the list type of person. No one from out of town got love from the door guys. Hell i even tried to pay them to get out of that "Hawk (cold air)" :) . Understand that where i came from, it was like 70 degrees. Well after finally standing in line 30 minutes and watching all the folks from the "Hustler party" get in, i made my way in. It was well worth the wait. The atmosphere and music were great. The dance floor was packed and the people were very friendly. Oh my friends I was supposed to meet there....well they were running late and never got in. So here i am, Houston boy, knows nobody, thirsty....So i look around to get a drink. There were 2 bars and about 40 people in line to get drinks. I talk my way to the front and order 2 double Vodka/redbulls. Now i feel better. I say the next time i come to town...We do it Ratecluber/balla' style and get a VIP. We get our own section either downstairs or upstairs, our own waitress and we dance as much as we want. I made the best of where i was and enjoyed myself. I think this place needs to shift employment around. Take away some of the 12 door guys and hire a bar staff to handle the demand. I still got love 4 ya' Alert...Alert... I will be back in Seattle at the end of the month.

dropped in a few weekends ago on our way to red fez. it's good for what it is - a loud, dark, $7 cocktails 5th street bar rather similar to other loud, dark, $7 cocktails 5th street bars. i did like the three booths against the back wall, the one closest to the "dance floor" gives a really great view of everyone mingling while keeping you pulled back from all the people. we had a really nice waitress who kept coming to check on us. i was a little creeped out by the two tv screens mounted on the ends of the rooms that have security camera looking views of the areas at the ends of the bar including the oddly placed stripper pole. it's that horrible night vision that in horror movies always shows someone being pulled into a windowless van.
