by Nita N. on My dining experience here was off the hook. I was in Philly for a conference and got to eat here with a group of coworkers. Because there were about 8 of us, we were able to try many different nigiri, drinks and entrees. The nigiri was incredibly fresh and probably the best I've ever had, and all of the entrees we had were well seasoned and unique. The black cod miso and the yellowtail in the hot stone bowl were my favorite entrees. The lychee cosmo definitely stood out because I've never had anything like that before and I love anything lychee. I also loved the decor and layout of the restaurant. It's a long dining room with paired seating along the walls and booths and tables in the center. The decor was swanky and contemporary, yet not sterile. I felt very comfortable there, even though it was a slightly upscale experience for me. I also thought the service was fantastic; our server tended to all of our needs and requests. This is definitely a gem of a restaurant in Philly, and I can't wait for another opportunity to dine here again.
by Cierra Lynam on Finally, a nightclub that looks and feels like a real Nightclub! Dreamz is off of Clairmont in this dainty shopping center, but don't be fooled because when you walk in, it is awesome. I believe this place used to be a movie theatre by the looks of the inside of the club. The line outside was long and discouraging, and we almost left, but a friend of mine pulled some strings and we were in very quickly. When you first walk in the front lobby, there is a bar and then you walk into the main part of the club, which is HUGE (as Erin T. says) and there is a stage in the back (or front depending on your perception) with a huge projector and a DJ spinning on the stage. Everyone was dancing all around us! The place was hopping! I found the club very diverse and well put together. The vibe of the club was awesome. The VIP areas were nice and well lit, but not overly lit for a nightclub. The bartenders seemed a little tense due to the volume of people at the bar, but service was still quick. The music was awesome. Even if you didn't want to dance or felt like dancing, your hips were involuntarily moving to the beat. The atmosphere was real cool and chill. I was happy to finally go to a real nightclub. I definitely will be back for another great night....at a real Nightclub!
by David S. on An Ultra-lounge...Where the music thumps loudly but very few people dance. Limited seating, but that just forces you to make the rounds. I was a little worried about clothes...but my pair of nice jeans and a button-up oxford with the sleeves rolled up...worked out well. Since returning to Atlanta, it's one of the few places I have visited where I felt it was an older crowd. It was a diverse crowd (gender, race, sexual preference), which is one of the things that makes Atlanta great. Having lived in Nashville for most of the last 6 years, you don't see that very often. Some people have written about drinks being a bit more pricey here. I believe we paid $6 for Jack & Coke, and the drink was well made...strong but still tasty. Limited street parking. We paid 4 or 5 bucks to park in a nearby garage. I'll be going back.
