By far my favorite bar in the city. If only Rateclub had 6 stars. Waziema, you beautiful bastard. Oh, the times I swerved out of you, Waziema. I don't want to describe your many splendors because I want you all to myself. You are like the new girl in school and I am like the soft-eyed jock. I saw you first, Waziema, and you will be mine. I will fight bully and teammate and overly protective parent and condemning society and this whole too-small town for your love. Our moment will make us shudder, and when it is through we will sigh and thank one another. Oh. Waziema. Once, I had a birthday party here, and they let me play all of my own CDs over the speakers. That's tantamount to telling quarter-pumping jukers (and people who don't like my taste in music) that their type ain't welcome. And you know what? It was my birthday, and they wain't (weren't + ain't)!!!1! That's my man Waziema, right there. My dunny. My main damey. Don't take shits at Waziema, though, if you're a guy. Someone will walk in on you. Not that I know from personal experience - you'd have to be retarded - but, rather, I know from... ... imagination. Imagination!

Great place when you're in the mood for dancing! R&B downstairs, salsa on the main floor, and reggaeton upstairs... what more could you ask for?? It gets pretty packed on the main floor later in the night if you want to dance salsa, so go early if you are going to dance salsa. Cover charge is $10 before 10:30pm and $15 after that. Not too bad. You can find parking across the street for $8 flat rate, and drinks are reasonable. The major downfall of this place is they charge $3 for a little 12oz bottle of water, and they wont give you a glass of water at all. So, no water or be prepared to spend all your money on it. After all the dancing and drinking, you're going to be thirsting, so I found this to be very annoying. Otherwise, fun place!

Velvet Margarita is rad. The decor is uber-fun...very Tijuana chic with black velvet, great hats on the roof, and Mexican cinema on the big screens. Margaritas will destroy you here! That and the amazing bean dip...it's like crack on a chip. Other than that, the food is just ok...I've had better and I've had worse. LIke the albondigas though and the fact that the menu is price fixed ($9 for lunch and $15 for dinner). Basically it's a great place to start the night with some strong drinks, appetizers, and a little fun to go with that.
