I had been looking for a cool Salsa club. Luckily I found Copa was open Thursday through Saturday all Salsa nights. I just started learning how to dance salsa and I wanted to check out and learn some new moves. I went to take a look first and found out they had lessons for like $5, not bad. The next night I showed up with some friends and we all had a good time learning the basics. With practice I've gotten better and stop by as my place of choice for good Salsa music and a really cool environment. Thursday nights is like a college night so its a little more laid back and casual. Check it out.

So, this review is for a visit last night with a group of friends. We sat in the bar and had drinks only. Atmosphere: I really like the bar. The high ceilings, the tea lights, the dance floor with a DJ spinning disco mash-ups, the nifty architecture. The drinks:they have a ridiculous selection. There was one menu for beer/ wine and cocktails. The cocktail list must have been ten pages long- filled with fruity drinks, Chinese standards (suffering bastard, mai tai, scorpion bowl, etc), martinis, ice cream drinks, etc. My vote is for the Hennessy martini. It's the best bang for your buck. It's $11 and straight booze with a twist of lemon. I also split a scorpion bowl which was $20 and gets two thumbs down. There was one sad piece of orange and that's it. No cherries, no pineapple, no flaming 151 at the center, no funny umbrellas. Very disappointing. Service: very so-so. The drinks took quite awhile and the bill was difficult to read (as is so often the problem at Chinese restaurants). This place has potential. I'll have to update the review after eating there again (I ate their once a few years ago and I really can't remember a thing about it- never a good sign).

Mansion Miami is what you would call a MEGACLUB, such as mega scene ,mega huge, mege expensive, mega crowded with megalomaniacs and perhaps some mega maniancs wearing mega shiny shoes or mega mini dresses. It is the manifestation of a "I survived SoBe" tshirt with a Von Dutch trucker hat to match.... However, below are 5 reasons why you should go there, at least once: One: It emanates a very vibrant vibe- you will find yourself dancing whether against the wall because its so packed or away from all the "papis" trying to get down Two: They have mega high profile surprise guests like every night such as Busta Rhyms, Bob St. Clair, Terror Squad, Trick Daddy (oh wait he might be a regular) Three: Great sound system Four: It will serve as a measure of comparison for every other mega club you might find yourself in....for the rest of your life Five: The eye candy is sooo sugary that you can not stop looking...that is, until your retinas begin to feel mushy a consistence best equated to that of flan Also, unless you have a hook up, expect to wait a mega line and pay mega bucks for cover.
