by Lanie L. on i think this is the largest bowling alley ive been to. 50 lanes, a "lounge" sort of area with couches and chairs to socialize in. looked very well kept and clean. i love that you can choose a ball based on weight and finger size. i always hated running around looking for that 9-pound ball that my little fingers can handle. and the shoes are cleaner and newer than most raggedy old bowling spot i'm used to. lines are super long, drinks and food are super expensive, but it's a given. out bowling machine malfunctioned on us several times. it would stop working when we were in our 9th frame BOTH games we played and would have to summon someone over to fix it, which took forever. parking is horrendous. who knew a bowling alley could get as crowded as a movie theater? $1 games seemed like a bargain...until we saw the cover charge. it's a crap charge i call it.
by Alison C. on I went to the Emerald Pub last night for the first time in about a year, and boy has it changed! What was once a grungy Irish pub with a lot of character and a bar full of space for me and my coworkers is now a trendy lounge decorated like a gothic ski lounge and packed with a classier after-work crowd. They have an amazing happy hour with 1/2 price drinks (ALL DRINKS!). I was able to get an Absolut with club soda for just $4!! They have several large tables with long, comfortable booths and tons of barstools, making it a great place for large groups. The jukebox is full of classic, sing-a-long rock tunes. The Emerald Pub is definitely worth checking out, because you WILL have a good time here!
by Elisha Grupa on Hunk. O. Mania. So I have been on a bit of a rateclubs hiatus, but my first review in a while shall be devoted to the fabulous men of Hunk-o-mania. We had a VIP table up front and center, right in front of the stage, to celebrate my friend's bachelorette party, and we were all dressed like hookers, in red tanks, black bottoms, fishnets, bright red knee socks, blonde or red wigs, and makeup to match. We even rolled up in a limo. We got lots of stares, and later that night when we got separated one of us got "busted" by the police and I was given $20 just to talk to a guy's friend. Free cab fare, at least?! Arman, the manager (?) there set everything up for us, greeted us with a hug and kiss when we got there, and hooked us up! Champagne, drinks, HOT men, HOTTER lapdances, and lots, LOTS of dolla bills. But seriously some of the men were totally swoon-worthy, and freakin STRONG. They were lifting up and swinging around girls of all sizes left and right. Poses were scannnndallouuusss~~~ I'm no saint, for sure, but some of the things they did made my mouth drop wide open. Haha. But really, a truly awesome time with GREAT service, in more ways than one. ;-)
