by David Musel on Finally a club in Atlanta that actually spent money on a quality sound system. A little more pretentious than the original Havana Club...well, a lot more pretentious. My wife and I went to the Grand Opening on Friday, January 29, 2010. First impressions were great. But I have a few issues: Every time we sat down, the same waitress came by to tell us there was a $200 - $250 minimum to sit at a table. There were no signs or ropes or any other indication that the tables required a minimum. And maybe it was my imagination but it appeared that we were the only ones told that (we're Black). Looking at the other reviews, I don't see any other reference to the same. Anyway, three big dance floors, diverse crowd, great music: Latin, Hip hop and top 40 dance. Drinks were really good for $8.50 Crown Royal. Hope they stay at that price!. Didn't get to try the cigar lounge ($250 minimum) or so we were told. What is up with that crap at all Atlanta clubs! If I spend that much at a table I better be served a bone in ribeye, bottle of wine, dessert and a cigar after! I laugh at the fools who pay that much for a bottle just to show off. Oh and money is not the point. I own several franchises. I just think it's ridiculous to pay that much to sit down. Anyway, I will go back because I like to smoke cigars and dance. There I can do both. The jury is till out. There was no cover that night. So long as it's not a $20 cover I'll go back.
by Adam R. on I have not been to many places up in Buckhead in awhile so I was excited to check this place out. It is a new building so it was very nice inside. We had a table on the middle floor which was just a small area between downstairs and patio upstairs. We wanted to go up to the patio but it was already crowded by the time we got there. I have heard good things though. They had a full bar downstairs which we visited later in the night. It got really crowded by the time we left but still pretty exciting. I really like that a lot of these places are smoke free now. It really just feels better all around. I wish it was not a government rule and more the business deciding to clean themselves up but I guess the result is the same. I really enjoy not smelling terrible by the time I leave a place. They offer valet parking, but I do not like the concept of valet parking and especially when they try and force you to valet. I think I can park my own car. Street parking was not bad though for Buckhead. I cannot wait to go back and hopefully experience the rooftop patio!

But, anyone who has worked in club can tell you that 9 times out 10 you hate the place after you have seen the inner workings. Not true here. This place is just plain fun. When you have a group of friends who have all different tastes in music but all want to dance... this place has it all. Get there before midnight and have more cash in your pocket for drinks and your late night food fest that will inevitably follow. There are 7 rooms in all with a different atmosphere in each room. And, al though I always thought of WH as more of a place to have fun with friends,rather than meet a mate... I actually met my husband here.
