by Burt Garasha on You don't come here to eat. You come here to DANCE. If you need to eat something then walk your ass down to Wendy's and fuel up on some protein and carbohydrates. You'll need it later on in the night when it gets jam packed with groups of people who look like they are all having their very own dance party... and you're caught in the middle of it. The music selection is spot on, ranging from 80s staples to present day hits. And in front of the DJ or up on the wall length bench is where you want to be. The drinks are fairly cheap. And there are usually characters -- lots and lots of interesting characters to watch. It's usually a pretty diverse crowd, too. But what I like most is that the atmosphere is very come as you are. It's refreshing. The general mentality seems to be, 'Lets just have fun,' and as such people let loose. It's not pretentious. Nobody judging or ogling you. There aren't throngs of people standing around trying to look cool. And it's by no means fancy inside. It's a hole in the wall where people get down to good music and relatively cheap drinks. By far my favorite place to go for a night out in Cambridge. Be aware that it doesn't get crowded until later, though.
by Jeremiah N. on Calzone to die for! Light flaky crust with a hint of buttery deliciousness. The marinara was not really my thing but overall great atmosphere, dog friendly, and friendly waitstaff. The drink prices are pretty reasonable - another east side winner!
by Sherwood Brodish on i use to come here allmost every night back in the day when i work on south street, it is still the only good place to come on or around south street, but i have not been to gayle res. so i shouldn't be making that statement. as always we got the calamari, it is the best in the city, great selection of booze and great atmosphere, and service.
