by Michael A. on I didn't buy into the vibe of this place, or the other reviews. The drinks are overpriced and the staff isn't that great. I was really excited about the decor, but ultimately I was not impressed. Nor was I impressed at the "show" they had going on. Parking is also an issue as it is downtown, but not my biggest complaint. I wanted to dance a little, but it really was a strange place to dance at. Maybe it was not my kind of place, but when I get that dressed up I want to be able to go to a dance floor. Also they have all of these reserved areas, and nobody is using them. I understand they want to save these areas for people spending lots of cash, but why is the bouncer giving me a hard time for leaning on a pole that is a "reserved area." A little pretentious, and kind of annoying. All in all, I would probably give this place a second chance, but there are just so many other bars and clubs to check out, I don't see myself going back.
by Blair G. on Started a night here and couldn't tell why it was so special. It was a little too dark and the crowd wasn't terribly friendly or my type of people. Drinks were pretty cheap and service was quick, but they were the only thing keeping me here besides the cool old school cartoon on the wall. They were playing some nice reggae music, but our group was eager to leave pretty quickly after arriving. I'd be willing to give this place another chance, but for now I don't think this place earned its high ratings.
by Huong Contreras on I went here on a date and I just dont think it was that good. I mean the atmosphere is awesome with the pirateship, crocodiles and all but i think you get better fondue at chains even (melting pot for example). Worth a trip once for the scenery. Also Dante the owner is super cool. he comes and talks to every table. I might have to give it another chance but i dunno.
