Good: View from roof. Decor indoors. Food tastes good. Bad: OBSCENELY SLOW, INDIFFERENT SERVICE (many friends of mine refuse to go to Medjool because of the bad service.) It has been this way for several years. I really can't believe such slow, indifferent, consistently bad service is even possible. I was there the other night for dinner and the place was nearly empty and the downstairs was full of waitstaff. They ignored us, brought everything slowly, and served us inexcusably bad drinks. Another night recently my boyfriend and I sat down in the bar area and no server approached us for about 20 minutes. I finally asked a supervisor-looking staff member on the floor for help. He spent 5 minutes discussing our order with a waitress who was slow to bring it and then forgot half of it. What is the point of having a restaurant and fucking up the service this badly? Douchey Marina-type crowd on weekends or when it is busy.

Ah Gerber and Crawford bring us "Whiskey Park". Although, I venture to say that the new bar/lounge at the W Hotel is NOT furnished with Cindy's line of Rooms To Go furniture - thank goodness! Ultra-chic and amazing vibe from the moment you enter - this place hsa a true understanding of what Atlanta wants/needs in a bar scene. And, on my "Cool Bartender" Scale of 1 to 10, Travis gets a 10+. Here are the rules: (1) Bartender should at least ACT interested in ensuring you are having a good time - 2 points (2) Bartender should ALWAYS introduce themselves to guest - 3 points (3) Bartender does NOT refuse a shot when guest offers - 5 points Now, a bartender begging me NOT to leave, gets BONUS points. Sure, this gesture could have been a ploy to increase his tip. However, I think it was more because we were almost quite literally the only patrons in the place (Thursday Night). Definitely would like to try it again on the weekend. Minus one star? Gerber/Crawford - you obviously have amazing PR and some business sense - why the f*ck doesn't Whiskey Park have a WEBSITE?!?!?! Shesh! I didn't know if I was doing to a bar or a diner! :)
