by Cissy D. on I went here the other night with 3 girlfriends for Dine About Town. We had an 8:30 reservation and 2 of us got there early and checked in, but the other 2 arrived at around 8:45. Well, when we all went to the host to be seated he made a huge stink about seating us because apparently they CLOSE AT 8:30pm... WHAT?! And, why didn't he mention that to the 2 who had come early and checked in? Once we got seated he gave us the regular menu. We immediately asked for the special DAT menu and he made a huge production of it saying he "wasn't sure if they could still do it blah blah blah." He acted like he was doing us the biggest favor in the world by giving us the DAT menu at the late hour of 8:45pm. Our waitress, a blonde girl with black hoop earrings, was equally as rude and uninviting. She acted like we were a huge nuisance and was unpleasant until the very end when it was getting close to bill/ tip time. I gave her 20% because I used to be a server, but she in no way deserved it. The service here sucks and they don't care about their customers. The food was fabulous, but small portions for the price. I had a Japanese seaweed salad that was delicious and an assortment of sushi rolls.. spicy tuna and california. For dessert, I had a really good chocolate mousse cake that was rich and awesome. I am glad I tried Yoshi's once, but definitely will never come back to this cold atmosphere.
by Leatrice Woomer on Rating this as a club & not a restaurant. I like this place because it's spacious compared to a lot of other clubs. Also, theres a nice view of the ocean! But they have gots to freakin fill up the gaps on the damn wooden floors on the balcony and stairs, cause HELLO?! The ladies wear stilettos that will step right through! Besides from that, the place is pretty cool with multiple levels. But if they use the same securities every time, then ONE OF EM HAS GOT TO GO! The black female security is the mother fckin rudest security I've ever fckin encountered in my life!!! Shes a fckin racist ass bitch! She didn't do too much to me or my friend, since we're ABC, but she was just being real rude like "put your head up" or "I'm not done" or "did I tell you to put your arms down?". BITCH! Yeah, like I can hide 3 grenades and a machine gun under this little dinky dress of mine! But there were some other foreign chicks whom I heard her make fun of to the other securities in front of EVERYONE! She was like, "man.. yall just do not understand english tonight huh!?" BITCH! So what if she doesn't understand english (although I'm pretty sure she does but was just scared of her bitchass). Anyways.. other than that.. Kelly's Mission Rock is cool.
