Glad we had a reservation/table service. I came here with a group of 10+ ppl. We split a bunch of desserts, order a few bottles of champagne and the usual assortment of girly cocktails. Bellinis baby! I think everyone enjoyed the space. No one tried to encroach on our couches/table. We saw a waitress spill a tray a couple tables down. Just glad it wasn't ours. I would give this place 5 stars if not for the super-hot-and-steamy-and-gross dance area downstairs... ugh.

Don't do the same mistakes as I did!!!! 1) NOT BEING ON THE GUESTLIST! For that particular Friday night, if you were on the guestlist before 11pm, it's FREE; if not, $20 =(. (It was in the spur of the moment that we decided to come here on a Friday night. We definitely could have met the guestlist deadline if we weren't too drunk at Beat the Clock back in Berkeley ( http://www.rateclubs.com/bi...). We thought, not being on the guestlist won't do much damage to our wallets right? NOPE!) 2) NOT KNOWING THERE ARE 3 DANCE FLOORS!!! When we first arrived, a security guy was blocking off the entrance to the dance floor on the 1st floor because "not enough ppl are here yet." We thought this was the only dance floor so we went to the side bar to the right to grab some drinks and soon enough the main floor opened up. People started rolling in but the room never got packed. No one really danced since the DJ started with some kinda techno lounge music. We sat in a booth and convinced our drunken selves that we should wait an hour and see if things picked up. An hour later, it was STILL the same deal. My gf and her friend went to go use the restroom and when they came back, they're like "DUDDDEEE WE'RE SO DUMBBB the hiphop floor is DOWNSTAIRS GAH!!!" FML 3) NOT RESEARCHING THE DJ BEFORE ARRIVING!!! Hiphop DJ for that night totally sucked. He was more of a mash-up DJ. Played very popular songs but only played like 15 sec clips of each before changing the song. It was sooo frustrating. Make sure you know what kind of music the DJ plays before arriving, EVEN if it's a friday. Friday's should hands down have good DJs right? NOPE. I've learned my lesson. Maybe next time I'll be more prepared so I'll have a better experience. =/

You know, Kevo M. had it right when he (?) said "Supperclub is what you get when, while on acid making a 1970's b-rated Porn, first year Academy of Art students make babies with first year California Culinary Academy students." But you know what else? I'd totally bring some out-of-towners here if they were in the market for something "crazy" and "west-coast." My Danish neighbors said that they'd been to the Amsterdam version a couple of times and the food was on par, but the crowd was more into it in SF than it was in Amsterdam. That doesn't say much for Amsterdam, but they also said that 3/4 of the Amsterdam crowd was stoned, so that made up for it. Ultimately, I enjoyed it...particularly since I ended up getting seated next to a chick I went to high school with FOURTEEN YEARS AGO. HOLLA, CHRISTINA DEBARTOLO! GO LIONS! THE BONE STAYS HOME!
