I'm giving this place four stars, but not for the pizza. The Stromboli is delicious, but at $10, I wouldn't consider it a lunch item. The environment is also nice and relaxing. At a lunch price point, I'd consider the pizza which is $2.50/slice plus more for any toppings. It's a little overpriced and the pizza is not very good. Anyway, I'd only return for dinner.

Was just there last night. Bunch of hood rats and thugs frequent the tiny little place. Security had a very misogynistic attitude. It was pointless getting on the guest list. There was a guest list line...What was the point? You had to pay at the door anyways. How the hell is security running the line? The wait was way too long, once in, a VERY HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Ugh, it was such a big disappointment! The website advertised old school hip hop. I was expecting Jeru the Damaja, Mary J Blige, Biz Markie, Snoop Dog, De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, Wu Tang Clan...instead I hear some pop crap...Rihanna (not that shes bad, she's not even old school). Does the DJ know what real old school is? DO NOT GO HERE if you want upscale hip hop

I'll make this snappy because there's not a lot to say - The Local is a very cool "local" bar (groan, groan, I know!). The patio out front is one of the best places to sit and you can check out all of the cute boys as they come in. Trust me, there are always cute boys to check out. Although I'm relatively new to the South, they have some of the best boiled peanuts that I have ever had (the grilled cheese is cheap and yummy too). I'm officially hooked.
