by Susan L. on Got the room on a deal from Travelzoo. Friendly staff. Accommodating. Room was not what we expected. It's like someone went cheap on the designing... like the details you expect to see when you pay for a hotel with history and upgrades weren't really there. However, the bathroom, amazing. Awesome. Anyway, we got the room for a photo shoot. We did what we had to do and then left.

Everyone in the area knows about this place...and I feel like even if you're traveling to Philadelphia and DON'T know about Continental, you're bound to get a recommendation to come here. No matter what the occasion - brunch, dinner, or late-night drinks, Continental always delivers consistently. Brunch is probably my favorite at Continental. I don't know why, but that garden omelette is delicious...must be the boursin cheese! Dinner is always good (Rad Na Thai chicken...those fat rice noodles are awesome, or the Crispy Calamari Salad is great to share). Drinks are great at this particular location of Continental especially because of the upstairs and the roof-top deck...super-cool for after-work drinks or late-night. Try the champagne-o-rama if you want a delicious sugary buzz! The ambiance is great - fun and funky - see and be seen - it's a good spot overall and worth many returns.
by Lindsey Starweather on Aaaaaaahhhhh the Velvet Room.....one my favorite spots to hit up when it I'm looking for a place to dance, shake my booty and listen to the rhythms of the night!!! Velvet Room is situated in an odd spot (in a Big Lots shopping center)....I know sounds a bit shady right, but when you walk through that door, you'd never imagine what lies behind it.......the room stretches for miles it seems, and velvet all over the place, beautiful chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, a dance floor so big, yet always packed to the brim. I love the fact that this club leaves so much room for surprise when you walk in, you'd never imagine that it'd be so big, spacious, and classy looking! Granted the crowd is pretty hit or miss (sometimes you'll have classier people and others just young "crunk" crowds)......you're always guaranteed a good time though if you like hip-hop music. It's off the beaten path off Chamblee Tucker, so it's a good place to go if you're not trying to ride all the way into town. I agree with Falicia, definitely get there early if you want to avoid long lines and cover charges. Now that you've read this review....get off your couch, and go out and get your dance on!!! :)
