by pete o. on Fantastic location, great service, and a very hot staff. I stay here for a weekend a while back and it was great. Get a cabana instead of the regular room.... you will thank me for it. Also thank you to the peeps that were staying in the room next to us.... the contact high was fantastic!!!
by w k. on It looked closed from the outside on Saturday at 7pm but the scent of curry wafting down the street reassured me. I reccommend ordering 2 veggies and one meat/fish for the 3 course combo. Better balance as the meat is big chunks. My favorite was the collards, tofu and string beans, and chicken curry (make sure you get some of the carrots). Sauces were delicious if not a tad on the oily side. The pink sweet drinks are popular accompaniament to the spicy foods although too sweet for my tastes. (I prefer the salty lime sodas at Vietnamese.) Thought the veggie fritter was ok ESP dipped in homemade hot sauce which you can ask for on the side. But nothing special unless you're craving something fried. Hardenas is in a diverse neighborhood and attracts a broad crowd. When we got there it was families of Indonesians, but over the course of our meal black,white,asian families and young hipsters all rolled through. Left smelling like fish sauce. Plan to come here with regularity!
