This is a typical west indian night club. Nothing to call home about. Overpriced drinks, overpriced entrance fee, same crowd every saturday, nothing new. For the same price drinks, even less actually, and no entrance fee, you can go to some of the better clubs in Manhattan but if you like soca and reggae and chutney then you would like this club if you're drunk too. Girls here are 50/50, more like 10/90. the 90 being the ugly old chicks that still think they got it with guts busting out they sides.

Manor West is not what it appears to be. My girlfriends and I were on the guest list. We arrived by 10:30 and paid a $10.00 entrance fee. I should note that the general public was able to go in before us. Line wait was approximately 12 minutes. However, once in the actual club-few if any people were seen. The music was awful. If you're into a combination of Madonna, house, and techno, then perhaps this is for you. We usually like to frequent nice hip hop clubs, that is not the case for Manor West. People did not start dancing until about 12:00am. The dance floor cleared out at about 1:15am-it just goes to show you how bad the beats were. Second, there is a guy who is constantly mopping-to the point where you cannot dance a full song without him interrupting you and asking you to move. I completely understand the safety issues behind wet floors, but my goodness was it excessive. Third, the line to the restroom and the exit are in the same direction. Being that it was my first time and did not know where the restrooms were located, I stood in line for ten minutes in order to exit, not knowing it was the restroom line. Overall, this place is not worth 10.00. For this price you can go into Slide for free (just 1.6 miles away) and by yourself a drink.

let's start off saying that the Hong Kong used to be king. when i first moved to boston in 99, we'd go over to the 2nd floor of the Kong after work whenever we could for pretty decent chinese food, scorpion bowls, and a jukebox brimming with cheesy forgotten classics. then a few years later, they tried to class it up. decor change. in came the golden tee machine. out went the jukebox. we walked in to mood lighting and jazz being played and we knew the party was over. the food is still alright, decently priced, and the comedy upstairs is still top notched though.
