The service is great, the restaurant is clean and the food is served quickly. HOWEVER, you won't want to eat it. I've had better at a mall food court. It was bad enough to send back if I had more time (which I didn't). Definitely not good enough to take home the leftovers. I had sesame chicken, and you can't mess up sesame chicken, right? WRONG.

OVERALL: 4.5 FOOD: 5 SERVICE: 4 AMBIANCE: 5 VALUE: 4 E-A-T. What else do you need to know? FINALLY made it to 111 Minna for their weekly event & got there JUST before the kitchen closed (alleluja!!). Totally blown away by the vibe: large open space w/high ceilings, industrial style hardwood floors, a dozen or so free-form wooden tables & benches, swanky-funky ottomans, BAR, ecclectic artwork on the walls, live DJ spinning chill-house-lounge mixes, quiet convos, and mouthgasmic aromas from the kitchen. Artsy, industrial, chic, warehouse (and FOOD!).....right up my alley! Cash only (ATM up front), and separate bills for food vs bar (different entities). SHRIMP TACOS (2 for $7): Fried. Goodness. Get in my belly. Now. Piping hot, BIG shrimp w/crunchy cabbage slaw. Tried to get 2nds, but kitchen was closed. Damn. SLIDERS ($6 ea, or 2 for $10 until 6pm): One each, Blue cheese & Havarti. Both equally dreamy, though the caramelized onions gave the blue a slight edge. Juicy, medium rare, buttery bun, homemade pickle. Defiling w/ketchup & mustard would be criminal. PORK SAUSAGE GNOCCHI ($9): Aptly described by the server as "gnocchi, but better cuz it's like chili, too". Homemade potato pearls smothered in a sausage-pulled-pork-mushroom-tomato ragout & baby arugula. My BF's a talker (I mean, for REAL), and all he could manage for 10 minutes straight was "MMMMM!!....I just--MMMMmmMMmMM!!!! (etc)" Yes please, PLEASE eat some more....I INSIST. It was heavenly (the gnocchi, too). DEFINITELY coming back w/friends (or anyone else for that matter) for the rotating menu & artwork! Could easily spend all 5 hours (5-10pm) gabbing, canoodling, browsing, people-watching, digging good music, sipping, and EATing. In the meantime, I should probably fast...

Best 20 bucks I've ever spent... psssyyyycccchhhheeee. When we got into the cab and told the driver where we were going, he said, "You guys are ghetto." Don't knock it til you try it. I've tried it and i'm knocking it.
