Bobby's Burger Palace is a classic example of when a celebrity chef tries to make a burger joint "work", but somehow misses the point. In the two times that I've been here, I've left feeling less than impressed and not getting my money's worth. This probably has to do with a few key elements: crowds, ordinary ingredients, and poor overall value. This place is almost always crowded, with long waits both to order and receive food. You spend so much time pondering the menu and waiting for your food that you either can't remember what you want when you order at the counter or you barely remember what you ordered when the food finally arrives. As for the burgers, there's nothing exceptional or extraordinary. Normally, this would be ok, but when you're paying the premium price for Bobby Flay's fare, you should be getting something that's a cut above your standard burger. Most burgers on the menu are masked by an array of gourmet toppings that distract the eater instead of complementing the meat. No amount of spice crusting, meyer lemon honey mustard, or blue corn chips is going to make up for the rather ordinary burger contained within. Bobby's Burger Palace should get credit for a few things: they allow you to sub in ground turkey or chicken instead of beef (good for those looking for healthier eating options), and the sauces served alongside the fries and rings are really tasty. But unless you're looking to impress an out of town guest or you're in the mood for lower priced Bobby Flay, there are much better dining options in and around University City.

Marquee is closed indefinately for "maintenance." I was on the list for this past Saturday but no one bothered to tell us they werent open. Keep that in mind and make sure you double check before you go bc they seem to be taking names even tho the doors are locked!

Definitely my favorite place to go dancing. unlike other places you might find in new york, where its all about the scene, here, you find great music that envelopes you completely. The scene is pretty diverse and you'll meet all walks of life from all over the world. Id recommend coming here after 12:30 when its full but not too full. Grab a drink at Pastis or Hotel Gansevoort which is also nearby. Then come by Cielo to dance to your hearts content.
