by Teresa R. on Ohhhh Voyeur. I can just see us in a love/hate relationship. I love that you have tons of great people watching, good dance music and half naked go-gos wearing masks. On the other hand, I hate that you apparently discriminate against certain races (according to other reviewers) and that at the end of the night my bar tab could get me enough groceries to eat for a month. I visited Voyeur when a group of friends were in town. We wanted to show them the most "Hollywood" club we could think of and... success. It didn't get much more Hollywood than this, especially since Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian were there. We had a great time dancing the night away and again... people watching. I just love watching over dressed, under mannered, wannabe actresses strut around as they stumble about in their 6 inch heels with vodka tonic in hand... spilling it all the while. Any who... though Voyeur is not for everyone and definitely best in small doses, I recommend it for a night of Hollywood at it's best. Just be ready to wait in line outside (unless you happen to know someone who knows someone) and to spend some major cash on a cocktail.
by Rodrick Mcmaken on Triple Threat makes everything better. Not to sound like a complete groupie or anything, but damn, these guys know how to turn a place out. Been to several of their events in the Yay where they've dj'ed as a whole or individually and the music selection is eargasmic. Blame it on the alcohol or whatever, but these guys really know how to read a crowd and rock a party. And they did it again at Eve. The bar itself is kinda a blur. The place isn't huge to begin with but they seem to make the most of what they have. Peep their website and just imagine the photos they have on there with people in it. Drinks are affordable. They only have a handful of beers to choose from and the night I went, they managed to run out of the two brands of beer I was nursing all night. I mean, it wasn't crazy crowded or anything, I think they just used poor judgement in stocking for the night. Mixed drinks were like me in 11th grade - weak sauce. The bartender must of thought I had a UI 'cause the cran-vodka I got was wayyyyyy heavy on the cran. But I don't have a UI and the drink sucked. The crowd was diverse. Ladies in cropped fur coats, cool tough guys in drivers and me. Tons of fun, lotsa eye candy and tunage worth talking about. Not sure how the other nights of the week measure up, but if you can make it there when the music is on point and you can tolerate the bar mishaps, go for baroque.
by Myron Castenada on Well, Well, Well ... where should I start, ho yes Boulevard3 is just the best of the best, nice place, wonderful people, good drinks, etc... I just went over there last saturday, thinking that probably it could be empty because every body celebrated christmas already, but surprisingly that place got full! and why not if this is the best place to go to still partying after christmas...
