I may be easy impressed here, but seriously Hiro was alot of fun for this Seattle girl! We don't get such places in the Northwest. Hiro is defiantly themed but in a good way! Plenty of balcony seating with a huge dance floor on the main level. 3 things I most loved about this place: - no cover, free tequila for girls (with $1 tip on certain nights) - pretty lanterns adore the dance floor - the boys have to pay cover (ha-ha!) They also had lovely girls swinging from silk curtains while the lights were blasting out on the dance floor. Lots of fun to watch! Good place to go for groups but be prepared to wait in line for over 30 min in those heels ladies. Dress code is enforced!!

We went on a Friday during Dine About Town. I would highly recommend giving this place a try if they participate in Dine About Town next year b/c I thought it was a good price for what we got. That said, I probably won't go back as I have experienced what they have to offer, and would not have liked to pay more than we did. To sum up the trip: The food was pretty good, but not spectacular, the drinks were strong but sort of pricey, and the entertainment made it a fun and different dinner experience. The staff were pretty nice and were attentive enough to keep the drinks coming. The entertainment the night we went included a few dancers in some crazy costumes, one woman dancing with fire and a trapeze artist. The show wasn't too long, but it was fun to watch and the entertainers walked around and made friends with diners (eg. trapeze artist compared muscles with the men in our group and found that she was definitely much buffer). The club/dancing after dinner was not exactly my scene, but if you're favorite new outfit is a dress that at any moment your boobs might pop out the top of or your butt might pop out the bottom and you of course refuse to wear tights under it- well slap on you tallest pair of high heals b/c this place will be perfect for you. The foursome (one man in his 50s or 60s and three women in perhaps their 40s) next to us also seemed to be pretty pleased with the situation of sitting on a bed where they could all have a chance to make out with said man and "seductively" dance for his attention. At one point in the evening his shirt went over the edge and one woman was down to her lingerie. For your sake, I will hope that are not frequent attenders b/c I am still creeped out several weeks later. Definitely fun and different and worth the try for less than $40.

Five stars for the birthday cakes (which are less expensive than Cafe Mozart's, but more expensive than Maum's). I have not tried anything else here. We ordered the pink strawberry cake with strawberry yogurt creme. It was tiny, $26, and perfect for 8 people. Slightly sweeter than Cafe Mozart birthday cakes, but NOT nearly as sweet and heavy as American or European cakes. The cake was not dry at all, but it was not moist either. My family and I were quite pleased with the flavor and consistency. A lighter alternative to fattening Western desserts.
