I had booked a private party on a Saturday for my 25th. A friend had referred me there and said it was a chill spot with good service, music and atmosphere. I was told on the phone there would be no waiting in line for me or my guest and all I had to do was spend at least $300 at the table. Figured this would be easy and convenient for both the Lounge and myself/friends. Half of my party showed up before we did (at 11pm) and got in fine. I got there 10 minutes later and the bouncer rudely told me that the lounge was full and I would have to wait. Isn't the point of a private party so you don't have to wait? We waited for 10 minutes while I watched the one bouncer allow 2 females and a male waltz right in ahead of us, and the whole line waiting, after a little bit of pleading and whispering to each other. I waited for about 15 minutes total which isn't to bad, but when I am told that I will have no wait for the amount of money I am about to spend, I expect to not wait. Once in, it was very hard to see around due to the low lighting. The waiter was very friendly and nice. My friends ordered 4 bottles of champagne and plenty of drinks throughout the night so I was never without. While waiting we also went to the bar and ordered shots throughout the night. The bathroom was downstairs, it was dirty and there was always a line. The downstairs was extremely packed and stupid hot. No ventilation whats so ever. While at the bar downstairs, one of my male friends turned around to fast and bumped his hand into a guy. He apologized and went to walk around him. The guy started mouthing off about how he worked there and could kick my friend out. He then got on his little walkie talkie and attempted to get the other bouncers down there to kick us out. The whole time we were like what the heck is your problem?! He apologized, it was an accident and you work here! Your suppose to stop/prevent fights, not instigate them you fool! We finally just walked away from him. Obviously, he felt like a big bad guy since he works there. I had a married couple (who is also my boss!) coming to meet up with us and they were in line at 10 till 12. They were waiting in line and I had told them as it is a private party to tell the bouncer and he will let them in. The bouncer told them it was full but that if they wanted to "make it worth it" he could let them in. The bouncers were discretely asking customers to pay them to allow them in! (Unfortunately I had not been paying attention to my phone as I hadn't planned on there being a problem. If I had known of this that night, I would have been raising hell) Upon leaving, we were told our bill was $496 for the table service. Not bad as we had spent about the same at the bar also between about 20 of us. The next day a few of us were discussing the club (and never going back) when we realized that the total wasn't adding up. We contacted everyone that paid towards the table service and came up with $760. (Everyone paid cash and on debit cards). Three of my friends paid $100 each and that is what they signed for, however, their statements show $120 each. Can you say ILLEGAL?! We had planned on calling and getting this all figured out but considering we all work 40+ hours a week we do not have the time to waste nor is the money a big deal. It is the principal of the matter. All in all, this is a low level club that none of us will ever return or refer to and should be shut down before they rip anyone else off.

We came across Iguana when we were in NYC to see a show. The place was nice. We just sat at the bar to have a drink. The drinks were great. They have a mega selection of flavors for their margaritas and mojitos. The pineapple mojito was yummy. The service was good. We were there in the afternoon so there was not a lot of competition for the bartender's attention.
