A resounding yes to sitting outside on the water, enjoying the breeze and sway on the top level of the pier, sunburning my nose, and essentially lazing away the afternoon with bar fare and a good friend. A $10 veggie burger that doesn't come with fries or a pickle is kinda bullshit, but oh well. More than a few irritating, loud youngin' types, but also plenty of chill folks hanging out with their friends/partners/dogs. The boat itself is a trip. If my rent skyrockets, I'm moving in to the lower level -- and bringing a flashlight and fresh sheets.

I've been to The Park many times for brunch/late lunch and dinner. Nearly every time I've gone the food has been exceptional, I even gave my compliments to the chef once (i know, i'm a dork ;), there was only one off night when the food was so-so. There is usually no wait for a late lunch and almost always a 20+ minute wait for dinner (in the garden area) on a week-end. It's really worth it though, to eat in their outside garden-ish area. Really lovely, you feel secluded from the city and still get fresh air. The waitstaff is generally friendly and professional. If you go here I'd reccommend the catfish, really very yummy!

Please allow me to preface this review by admitting that I tried desperately to change my 9am Wednesday class just for Tuesday nights at Star Bar. Unsuccessful, sigh. But that hasn't stopped me! This bar is too much fun! The local musicians are wonderfully talented, and the crowd is crazy and friendly. Little Five Points is a refreshing change from the Buckhead scene. I've been on the weekends though and the atmosphere is less magical. Try Tuesday, I can say with confidence Star Bar is totally worth the Wednesday morning hang over :o)
