Drove 3 hrs from NY to experience the "famous" Geno's. Overall it was VERY dry, the meat was not chopped up enough, and not enough cheese (I was expecting melting dripping out of the sandwich cheese). The onions were ok. There's ketchup, mustard, hotsauce on the side, I tried to add on to make up for the dryness, but it barely helped at all for this WEAK $8.00 sandwich. The orange painted building is attractive, but does not correspond with the food. Dont waste your time.

My waitress and the manager took a menu to the kitchen and marked every single item on there as being safe or unsafe for my gluten allergy. Anything they were unsure about, they googled, including the alcohol for my cocktails. Everything I ordered was better than I could have imagined. The roasted cod and the olive oil pistachio ice cream were out of this world. I can't say enough good things about the food AND the staff! Very gluten free friendly!
by Piedad Cost on It's rare to find good calamari, let alone mussels too. Personal favorite: pizza with black olives. Keep the red sauce from the mussels and you're set. Best experienced in late summer.
