by Meghan Wuerz on Having just gone through a horrible experience at Johnny Utahs...my crew & I sauntered up to Iguana's on salsa night for a birthday celebration. The staff here was soo incredibly nice & accommodating considering we'd shown up 13 deep w/no reservations...they made our night! Food, drinks & music was great too...but nothings better than excellent service & an attentive friendly staff...I'd go here anytime!
by Clemencia Dueno on Been to The Edison more times than i care to admit. Love: -Space: Cool lounge-y feel, Power plant motif, 20s theme -Absinthe cart pushed around by Edison fairies. -Live acts/performances, -Libations & food Not so much: -On overcrowded weekend nights: unjustifiably long lines & limited seating Other than that, great space to hang out w/ friends.
by Ta G. on Hmmm... I stayed here for the Playboy Golf Tournament . They booked a bunch of rooms for us, and held a few events here as well as at the Playboy Mansion. Woot woot! Wow, it was strange to be surrounded by blondes with fake tans and huge melon implants. I actually felt like my pasty ass stood out unlike in the Bay Area. LOL. THE ELEVATORS IN THIS PLACE ARE HORRIBLE. It is about a 10 minute wait. Good lord! The decor is pretty cool. What you expect from a posh hotel. My friends and I dined at both the diner as well as steakhouse. I had a pretty good burger at the diner; my friends had wine and cheese. The steakhouse was good but way overpriced. It was tasty, I suppose. Oh, you aren't allowed to take pictures in the hallway. They have important looking security guys in suits with earpieces keeping an eye out on you. The pool area is pretty cool. And yes, mingled with many B-list stars (actually one A-list, Cuba Gooding Jr who is extremely nice) and football players. I remember one conversation... Me: "So what do you do in Boston?" FB player: "Oh I play for the Patriots." Me: "Oh, cool." hah! This place is okay to hangout at. At the time that I went, they closed Teddy's for the events they were holding. Too bad, I would have wanted to party with Lindsay and Paris, YAH! LOL. Housekeeping stole one of my friend's skirts. (The hotel ended up reimbursing it for her). The standard rooms are TINYYY (but beautifully/modernly decorated). The walls are thin; I heard the neighbors humping every morning at about 6am. Also, if it's booked solid for an event, there will be drunk girls running up and down the halls. This place is overpriced but what do you expect out of a Hollywood Hotspot. Pretty neat experience so stop on by if you can.
