by Laure Cannavo on HEARTTHROB every other tuesdays is probably one of the biggest reasons im gonna miss boston/cambrige this year after graduating. that party is bananas! great energy, great music, great crowd.... i visited boston for like 5 days or so a couple weeks ago and happened to be in town for a heartthrob party. the djs were handing out free beer! solid. thursdays can be pretty fun too and i think ive experienced one friday or saturday... definitely a different crowd. only qualm about this place is that the bouncers holdup the line for DAYS at a time. like, beginning of march, freezing my ass off outside for an hour..... so get there early or get there late, but dont miss it. and have a good time for me :)

These people are idiots, because Mikey can eat a whole pizza to himself! You might see kids working there, but don't worry. Kids these days need to learn a good work ethic. They don't need friends when they have split tips. Yes, it is dirty. No, it is not easy to get a table unless you walked in as soon as it opened, but listen to Stephie when she says you'll like it. Stephie is always right. We say order the veggie platter!
by M S. on I love going to shows at the Great American Music Hall. Maybe its because I associate the Hall with the '90s band from SF, American Music Club. Or maybe its that everytime I go to a show here I feel like I'm in grade school and we've been shuffled out of class so we can go watch some health movie down in the school gym. The decor at the Great American Music Hall definitely reminds you of the history of music in America. As a result, the crowds have always been really friendly and tons of fun. Usually the performers pick up on that vibe and have a good time too. I also like the fact that my old college roommate, Ted Leo performs shows here on regularly. This is just a good karma venue for me. I've always had a great time seeing shows here.
