Best. Experience. Ever. I was in Philadelphia and I just had to try Morimoto as there is nothing comparable to a celebrity chef restaurant up here in Boston. Dining here was not just about good food, but was an experience in and of itself. Upon the recommendation of many here, we shared the omakase tasting menu, a chef's sushi/sashimi combination platter and a ramen bowl. (1) Service: Absolutely professional. Our server was kind and knew what he was doing; he spaced out the dishes perfectly, taking the time to explain each one. He already knew to serve up all the dishes in pairs - we did not even have to ask. (2) Food: Absolutely sublime. When the taste of food makes you smile, you know it's good! I have never had sushi/sashimi as fresh as I did here. More importantly, the sushi rice was top notch - words cannot describe how good the sushi rice was. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked. I don't know how to describe it in words - it was just that good. The decor is very space-agey, which wasn't really my taste, but I would so go back for the food. You must go when you want to splurge!

It's true, silk city is a breeding ground for hipsters, but i still love it. the brunch is pretty all right, their dinner menu is pretty all right, the beer garden is phenomenal, and the dance floor is on fire. Great dj's and if you're lucky you'll get to see questlove spin. grab a high life and have fun.

The best place about this restaurant was the atmosphere. Amazing, lush plants everywhere with lots of bright, natural light. I may just have an affinity for parking garages in general, even an old one converted into a restaurant, after having worked in them for so many years though. I don't get to New York that often, so that could be the additional charm to the place too. I was visiting a friend who lived nearby, so it was wonderful walk to this place on an early July afternoon. We had gazpacho, a salad and veggie sandwhich. The only thing I can slightly rave about in terms of the food, would have to be the gazpacho, but seriously who can do a bad gazpacho? As long as you have fresh veggies, it should always come out scrumptious. The interior design, is what I would go back for. Handmade furniture in a party room, plants, and oranges for decoration... how can you go wrong? I got pictures I will be sure to post later.
