I read a few of the 5 star reviews and a few of the hater reviews and would like to hopefully interject somewhere in the middle: If you are already hungover and don't wish to drink yourself out of it: Lime Brunch is not for you. If you aren't looking to drink like it's a party and loosen up a bit?: Lime brunch is not for you. If you're going to complain about a wait/are in a hurry? Lime brunch is not for you. If you're in a t-shirt that says 'I love my boyfriend' and are asking mine, and our friend if they're gay so you can grind your shit all over them.... Lime brunch MAY or MAY not be for you :D. My companion, who is native Canadian from Toronto walked up to the door and heard the music, looks at me and goes "oh... oh this CANT be Brunch" I loved it. I went the Sunday before Christmas, waited 90 minutes, danced with 80s work-out girls and fabulous looking men, drank truly bottomless mimosas, had some decent food (the chipotle fries were wicked salty and spicy), and all in all enjoyed myself. My companions did as well I'm assuming... seeing as I got a phone call about 5 hours after we left, and napped that consisted of: "i think i'm still drunk. I woke up on my floor with a box of cookies and the Call of Duty menu playing..." I can't say it's for everyone. It's not a place you bring the parents for brunch. It's not a place to bring the church crew for brunch. It is a place that's goddamn entertaining to watch people, drink heavily, and dance before noon :D

Apparently Lime is the spot for brunch. We didn't do brunch here however met friends for a late dinner (9:30'ish) What do I recall about Lime... Great service and a gnarly dance party and loud.. So, Limes forte is small plates. Good selections at decent prices. Food was good, the music was extremely loud. Made it hard to carry on a conversation. My friends and I had to get extremely close to each other and nearly scream at each other when talking. Not my idea of a great dinner. That is all that I have to say that I found annoying. Other than that if I was not hungry and was in dinner mode I would of enjoyed this place. I did I just wasn't feeling like Dance Party USA while trying to have dinner. WORD OF CAUTION.. The fries here with the spicy seasoning was even too spicy for my half Mexican ass... I would come back for sure.. Just not with the intent on having dinner.

Still my favorite place to go for dinner in Atlanta. Why? The food -- not the attitude -- is the main purpose that people seem to go. So many places in Atlanta are about being seen with the right people in the right place at the right time. Nowhere else in Atlanta have I seen such a mixture of people rolling up their sleeves, having a good time and shaking off the posturing and posing. I always had chilled peel-'n'-eat shrimp as an appetizer and sweet tea, usually followed by grilled catfish.
