Before leaving the house I check the MedjoolSF website for the dress code. It say NOTHING regarding No Sneakers. Per http://MedjoolSF.com Dress Code: No hoodies. No hats. No sports attire. No baggy pants, shirts, or coats. Dress code strictly enforced at 10:00 PM. No one under 21 is allowed in Medjool after dinner service We get there and I walk up with my ID and the bouncer immediate says I cannot let you in with the sneakers. He turns to another doorman and the guy nods his head and they deny me, my fiancee and my friend entry. We stand and watch as a groups of others get in with sneakers and even a hat! Did it not say "No hats" in the Dress Code rules? Interesting. A female even got in with beach slippers (flip-flops) on. Tell me I wasn't hate'd on. Tell me I wasn't discriminated against. I had my hair made up knowing hats weren't allowed. I had a collared shirt on. I am advising you all to steer clear of this place as they are judgemental, discriminatory and generally not deserving of my patronage nor anyone who doesn't appreciate the qualities above. Needless to say, I will probably NEVER go back to Medjool. If that is how they treat paying customers, that venue will be defunct before you know it.
by Charlie Mingle on What to say that hasn't already been said? I was brought here at the end of a very long night so my memories are a big foggy, but I think it might have worked in may favor. Last thing I remember are tubesock tittays and a droopy 'sideways smile' on what had to be a 60 year-old woman. All in all, I've never laughed so hard in my goddamn life. Then again, I have a really dark and twisted sense of humor. This place is definitely not for the faint of heart...
by Jess W. on Okay, I don't know about every other night, but hats off to Roe for a great NYE's!! For $99, it was beyond a good deal! Thanks to the open bar I remember nothing after midnight...and welcomed 2008 with a hefty hangover. I do remember everyone that I was with dancing and having a great time though...so cheers to a night well done (even if every other night there might suck.)
