This review is for Miss Kitty's Parlor on Friday nights. I've been to the Dragonfly twice now, both for MKP on Fridays. If you like a good deal in Hollywood, this is the place to find it. Tons of free street parking within walking distance to the club, NO COVER, $2 Gin drinks.... BUT all before 10. You're probably saying "Hey, that's almost all clubs in Hollywood/WeHo/DTLA!" This place is different. There are shows and fun happenings throughout the night. The crowd is eclectic, you'll spend couple of minutes wondering if the nice lady in the dress who designated herself as your group's coat check is actually a him. All I have to say is the music is good and definitely dance-friendly (mostly house/techno music), the people are chill, and it's definitely an experience I would like to experience over and over again.

Last night we came here, after a very disappointing experience at another location and were pleased to learn that well drinks are $2 on Thursday nights. A pretty awesome deal, but not so awesome considering I had planned to have an early night. In addition to my four Vodka Tonics, I ordered the grilled Squid appetizer. When it arrived it looked kind of funny and had a weird texture to it. I confirmed with the bartender that he had mistakenly requested Octopus. Now, I am a big fan of Octopus Carpaccio, but thick tubes of Octopus was a bit much for me. The Bartender offered to replace my Octopus with the Squid, but we had already put a dent in the serving and I passed on the offer. The others ordered Gyros, kebabs and fried Squid. The portions were plentiful and all looked quite delicious. I am sure we will be back to sample more. Perhaps next Thursday?

The Melting Pot has better fondue. Seriously. Dante's serves smaller portions of food that is, at best, the same quality as Melting Pot, all for higher prices. The food being decent is the only thing keeping me from giving Dante 1 star. Also, the dessert options here are far fewer than the Melting pot, and WTF do you mean I have to reserve in advance if I want chocolate fondue? Here, you're paying for the ambiance. I have heard they make you pay even more if the Jazz band is playing, which it was not on my last visit.
