Perhaps if I came here for drinks or brunch I would have a different opinion but dinner is definitely not worth it. It was Friday night and when we walked in the place was pretty much empty, that should have been a sign. The place was also freezing, it was cold out and I would have liked to warm up inside instead of keeping my coat on. We ordered drinks and some small plates to share for a late dinner. The waitress was nice enough to suggest that we make sure the pates have 4 bites rather than 3 to make it even and easy to share and so we ordered the seasonal salad, lamb chops, fish tacos and sea bass. The salad was good, freshly tossed and a nice variety of ingredients. The lamb was horrible, and I don't say this lightly, not only was it well done but tough and very light in color, almost like pork. We had them redo it and asked for medium and so of course two of the pieces were rare, but still the color was off, not sure what they did to this lamb. The tacos were OK but nothing special and the sea bass was tiny in the large lettuce cups. All an all the food was quite disappointing and the bill at the end with tip was $100. Are you serious, for that price we could have gone to so many other places with much better food.

I don't understand why some of the ratings for this club are so low. I have been here on several occasions and have had a blast each time! The lines are not too long and it's much easier to get in here than to Hollywood clubs. Once inside, the lounge is very spacious and you can actually breathe. There are several different dance floors, including both indoor ones and outdoor ones and they play a variety of music, all good to dance to. The drinks are reasonably priced and good too. The ambiance is very comfortable and there are nice sofas to hang out on the patio area. I live in Pasadena and this is one of the closest clubs to go to on the North side if you don't want to drive all the way to Hollywood and look for parking. Oh yeah, they have fast valet service too and there is an In-N-Out right next door if you are hungry after the club closes. ;)

The first time I went was a Saturday night and immediately thought, L.Aish. I stood in a long ass line (the only reason I stood there by the way was because I HAD to show face at a friend's birthday.) and when I finally got to the door the doorman told me that I couldn't get in without a girl. Rrrrr! So I called a couple of my friends from inside to fish me in. After paying my $20 cover, which of course I expected, I looked to check my coat. What I didn't expect was the $4 charge, for coat check? Ok I know it sounds kinda picky but, believe me, I am fine with paying for overpriced drinks AND an overpriced cover BUT an overpriced coat check! I felt like drop kicking someone in the forehead. Telling myself, "Shake it off Ro, shake it off." I finally got over to my group. This place's only saving grace is that it has a really cool decor and feel. It has a sexy, kingdom of the underworld thing going on but unless you want to butt heads with pompous door guys, LA attitude bartenders, and overpriced drinks, don't bother. Unless, of course, it's your really good friend's birthday. DAMN YOU! Oh ya, and the DJ sucked ass... (just had to slip that in.)
