by Kari G. on Who wants to feel like they are watching the World Cup in the NY subway at rush hour? Not me! Unlike some pubs, they do NOT charge, there is NO line for the toilets, and it is easy (ok, not too hard) to get a seat and order a drink. We had a blast and the best Irish Bloody Mary there. Trust me, you want the Bloody Mary. Even though they don't serve food, the staff is pretty casual about bringing in your own food - when we were there for the US game, people brought in their own snacks - pizza, dim sum, sandwiches. Comfortable, cheap and friendly. That's what I'm talkin' about.
by Kevin H. on Recently caught Slaid Cleaves here in this wonderful venue. I suppose timing is everything and this show was on a Sunday night, so the crowd was sparse to say the least, so seating was ample and service was attentive. Beautiful spot to hear a show, and they do book a pretty eclectic mix of talent here. For performers like Slaid you could tell it was a joy to perform here. You have to love a small intimate joint where performers can step away from the microphones and the sound is spot on. Met some cool people on top of everything else. Before the show, struck up a conversation with a woman whose father used to perform here many years ago, really cool. Great venue, if you have a chance check it out!

You will love- Huge bar with plenty of bartenders Valet parking Dim lighting You will not like- Small dance floor Bathroom wait Shots in super hot glasses (try it.)
