Oh my! what happened to a good old tip for a bartender that knows what he is doing. the service there is really bad. There are so many other places you can go dance at why go here? terrible place. I like polk st but this place..... SUCKS!!
by Melissa M. on You don't go here for the food, you go for the cool location. On a nice night it's awesome being on a boat right on the water - really pretty view of the sunset. Even NJ looks pretty from the Frying Pan....seriously.....and I'm allowed to bash NJ, I hail from the Garden State. Snagging a table is always tricky so my plan is always to get there early and have dinner (even though I know it's not going to be so tasty). I had the grilled chicken wrap - it's not terrible, served with a nice big salad of mixed greens, decent amount of chicken, it could definitely be worse.
by Boyce Geffken on I am not even sure if Compound is even open anymore (shows how much I am on the club scene nowadays), but anyways, while Compound was big, had multiple rooms, and good bartenders...there always seemed to be just a little too much going on in this piece. Even when they had concerts here for promotional purposes, the event was so extra that I never quite had a "Reaaaaallly" good time. Along with that it was expensive if you got in after the cut off time, and it was kinda young some nights...my days of partying with 21-23 year olds are over...lol. Perhaps, so is this club..?
