by Clare Colker on I'm giving this place 4 stars for the awesome jazz and unique ship-motif decor. The food was good, but took some effort to prepare since this place is fondue. Don't forget to checkout the women's bathroom. I can't wait to bring my out-of-town guests to this spot, I think many will enjoy the experience. We had the Chinese dumplings, cheese fondue and the Mandrian Fondue for our main-course. The main course was tasty and offered a great assortment of sauces and dip-able delights such as chicken, pork, shrimp, mushrooms. I can't end without giving a shout-out to the strawberry daiquiris which were mighty tasty. Rum drinks for me belong at the beach while wearing flip-flops and listening to Bob Marley, but they were still tasty.
by Dave H. on Pure is a large venue in Philadelphia's gay neighborhood. It's multi-level and has a dark downstairs bar. The ambiance is pleasant. They have awesome music - techno and house when I was there. The crowd had a lot of energy and my friends enjoyed Pure since there was lots of room to dance. Cover is steep for the area but on their site you can purchase a membership which gives you discounts, like free admission: - Mondays-Wednesday, anytime - Thursday, Friday, Sunday, before 1 AM - Saturday, before midnight
