by Evelynn Sapien on I've always hung out at Sugar at night for drinks, but never come here during the day. I will never make that mistake again! We were a little too late for the breakfast menu, but their lunch menu didn't look half bad - I had the lobster salad, my boyfriend had the soup and sandwich combo, and we both split the brioche pastry. Their orange juice is fresh squeezed, and it's really good. Wow. The soup of the day happened to be mushroom and chicken, and it was a heavenly broth with pureed mushrooms, coupled with generous chunks of grilled chicken. Poor boyfriend had two spoonfuls before I wrestled it away from him and proceeded to drink every drop. And the brioche was fresh baked and very yummy. Can't wait to come a bit earlier and try their breakfast menu - I've heard rave reviews about it. They also have bottomless mimosas for 10 bucks - one of the best deals in town!
