I came here for a quick round of drinks with a few of my buddies. It doesn't really seem like the kind of place that needs a rope line, but they put it out at 10:30 PM. At that time, the bar area isn't that crowded, so it was easy enough for us to grab a couple seats at the bar and take it easy. The service was pretty standard, the drinks weren't terribly expensive ($6 per Bud Light), and the ambiance was decent. We checked out the rooftop quickly, but if you don't have a seat, it gets pretty crowded and stuffy quickly. There really isn't much of a view either, as the outdoor patio upstairs is in a recessed area relative to the street. It's a solid place to meet up with friends, but if I had my choice I'd probably stick to a bar that was closer to where I live. It's nothing so remarkable that I'd make the crosstown trip on a regular basis.

Infusion Lounge is so ridiculously overrated. If you do get in before 11 pm, for a $10 cover, you get: 1. your ears blasted out by terrible music 2. neon lighting and a truly awful webbed wall treatment 3. tacky go-go dancers 4. My friend paid at the door and within seconds he almost got bounced because the staff was ridiculously incompetent with tracking who had paid and who hadn't. All you have to do is stamp hands. This place is not even remotely worth the $20 cover... I don't get it.

Trudy's food is always consistent. It's not the greatest Tex-Mex in Austin, but you can always depend on it being good. The servers are friendly, and the drinks are great! The last time my husband and I went, our food took a while to come out. We were out enjoying the patio (and our drinks) so hadn't really noticed. Our server was on top of it, though, and never even gave us a chance to ask about the food because he brought it up first. When our food did come out, so did the manager. Apparently our ticket had slipped and fallen onto the floor in the kitchen. Even though we were not at all upset (again, we had plenty of alcohol in front of us) the manager took the food off of the bill. Not just one entree, or the appetizer, but every last bit of food. We were shocked, and very pleased that we now had more to spend on drinks. We really feel like the manager went above and beyond, and for that, we will keep coming back!
