Tao is a great restaurant, the food was delicious, the only thing i dislike about it was the wait.. we had made reservations and we still had to wait 30 mins almost it was worth the wait tho it was great!!

Let me start by saying I love clubs and clubbing.  On a given weekend night, I'll be at one of the clubs in the city, and Las Vegas is probably my favorite city the US because of its clubs. I'm giving Infusion 2.5 stars but can't round up to give it 3 on the rateclubs scale. Came on a Saturday night.  Yes, I know it's $20, $10 on guestlist before 11. I know they hold the line so it moves slowly, so even if you're in the fairly short line by 1030 you still won't get in by 11.  It's not worth $20.  It might not even be worth $10. Due to circumstances not under my control, I didn't get into line until 1045 ish.  Not surprisingly, the line was slow to move, but I had already accepted that I'd be paying $20 to get in that night. They only take cash to pay for cover, in case you wanted to know. Considering all the hype about this place as a club, not only in SF but even in Conde Nast magazine..this place is not that impressive.  It's actually a lot smaller than I had imagined, the ceiling in the bar/lounge area lower than I thought, and the music was not that great. The DJ started off well, playing some of my jams that my friends and I got down to.  Then he started playing intros/backgrounds to songs that we all loved but then didn't play the actual song. Unfortunately, he did it multiple times.  That being said, he mixed in some 80's later on which was great.  i guess my issue was he'd play 1 verse of a song and then switch to another one too quickly.  I get that the DJ's at clubs change all the time, but I hope Infusion doesn't have DJs like him all the time. Like I said, I love clubs and dancing the night away.  Infusion didn't allow for that, really, because it was so crowded you couldn't dance. Bathrooms: moves quickly cuz they have people directing you to open stalls Drinks: 2 AMFs, 1 vodka/tonic, 1 vodka/soda = $44.  The bartender was having fun but hustling too, which I appreciated very much. If you like clubs, i think this is a place to check out at least once. I did my time but I won't be back.  No SF club with a mediocre DJ should charge $20, I don't care how much money was put into the venue.

I was out on a second date, and of course, accidentally took him to dyke night at shangri-la. Being bisexual, and having had said dyke night recommended to me several times by friends, I really can't say anything other than, big fail on my part haha. He was a bit freaked out. So... we took a walk around the neighborhood, and - since he is the "classy type" (no, things did not work out) - we decided to stop in to East Side Show Room. Nobody greeted us or even looked at us. Wait, scratch that. None of the STAFF greeted us or looked at us. We got plenty of up-and-down-ing from the uberhip customers. Strike one. We took a seat a little tiny table with stools that were waaaay up high without any mid-level step on them, resulting in a lot of awkward readjusting and butt-shuffling in order to get a good purchase on the damn seat. Strike two, majorly. We open the menus, and I knew that the drinks would be pricey so that wasn't much of a shock... What was surprising was how damn long it took the waitress to come around and check on us. In fact, she only came along just after I said to my date, "maybe they don't have waitresses here." That's how poor the service was - I thought they didn't have waitresses. Big strike three. But, I'm a forgiving person. So I ordered a gin and tonic. My date asks for a specific cocktail that he's made up, and it's pretty simple - pineapple and vodka with a splash of Coke. Yes, it is incredibly lame, but I have tried one since then and it was actually quite delicious. The waitress tells us that they don't have pineapple juice. Okay, a little strange, seeing as how they have a full bar, but whatever. So he orders a cranberry vodka. And we sit. We talk. We wait. We wait and we wait and we wait. We waited a full twenty minutes without a single word, look, or transmission of morse code from the waitress. Strike four, and I'm out of there. I got up, told the waitress that we were going elsewhere, and we did just that. She gave me a half-smirk and said "oh, okay." Attitude! To close this up... the place sucked. It was too loud, way too crowded, the seating sucked, the service was ABOMINABLE, and everybody seemed to be there simply to show off their hipness and judge others for their lack of it. Don't waste your time here.
