I have nothing against this place...really. However, what I do have a problem w/ is the fact that after I pay w/ my debit card and give a cash tip, I don't appreciate reading my online statement to find out that this place/bartender helped himself to another $4 tips on my card at my expense when I had previously given him $3 in cash that night for 2 drinks when he wasn't the friendliest person there. Very unprofessional. It's an insignificant amount but when you add up all the times I've been here and each time this has happened, I feel robbed. Oh, and did I mention that they charge tax when you pay by card? Ugh.

The highlight was definitely the music, the drinks and the dessert. I'd go back for this combination. Shayna and the band played a great lineup -- I loved the covers particularly. Well, mainly Signed Sealed Delivered. :D Drinks - 4 Stars: I tried the On the Skizz drink -- which I liked, and I had the Cyrano pepper drink which was good, but a hard drink to end on. Dinner - 3.5 Stars: The bread [and butter with sea salt] was good though I'm still trying to figure out where it went. I pretty much had a bite of everything on the table. The pork loin was tasty, as were the ravioli. The polenta was super creamy but I thought I heard someone say it was not good. The fries were not too truffley and too crispy for my taste... but I ate them. The parpadelle and asparagus were pretty good, too. Dessert - 5 stars: Hellllooooooo brown butter ice cream!! Can I just have a bowl of you? Thanks. It's close to the freeway and we found street parking just fine. $5 cover for our large group. I think everyone had fun.

Went with my birthday buddy in honor of our birthdays. Overall, it was good. Would i go back? Probably but only for the ambiance and special sushi rolls. Appetizer: Tartar - four chips with one of each: salmon, lobster, tuna, and yellowtail. Meant for one person, not to share. Entrees: we both got the sushi dinner which was good. the fish was fresh. Special roll: Ajna Roll = my favorite. Absolutely delicious and i didnt want it to end. The server brought us some eel sauce to compliment the roll. Wasabi there was pretty weak. Cocktails: Mombasa (very tart) and Black Buddha. Both were eh, and light on the alcohol. So we went straight for the wine. Waiter was not knowledgeable about the wine list, he merely told me that one of the four that i had narrowed it down to was "good" and it was somewhat suspicious that he picked the most expensive of the four to say that about. Diverse crowd. Very cool space.
