Birthday karaoking! What could be better? How about a room that can fit 25 + people in it! Five screens for viewing pleasure and ample perimeter seating for all. Oh not to mention, the two stripper poles in the middle. We went on a Thursday night and we definitely brought the party. It was not crowded at all. There are many rooms, large and small, throughout the venue. FYI: I am unsure still if it is BYOB. However, being friends with many long time San Franciscans, they had recommended we stop by a liquor store on the way there. As long as you are relatively incognito, honestly, I dont think anyone cares! Way cheaper....! Four not five stars based on the music selection. There is a gi-normous book of songs at the bar in the main lobby but I believe each room has different songs uploaded to their computers. Just dont be crushed when you cant sing your favorite Prince song even though you saw it in the song book!

I've been going here since God was a child. My drinking buddy (female) and I used to go here when it was mostly gay and have a contest to see who could pick up a guy first. She usually won, which sez something about her or me... [This is the woman who called me up recently and announced that she was ten years sober and apologized for all the good times we had.] The Endup has never been a great place, but it has always been a place where I could burn off energy dancing after going some place else first for music. The place has changed rapidly in the last few years. Some nights no one is there; some nights the crowd is from some place I've never been and don't want to visit; and some nights it almost clicks into place. The bars ok, but I wouldn't start drinking here. The outside's a great place to cool off and talk. The conversation pit is a good camp reminder of the Endup's roots. The DJ's always have a good beat, but their taste is a little stale and conservative. The dancing, recently, is also on the conservative side. No stunting here. A fair amount of robo dancing. Definitely, an amateur crowd--usually seeded with dressed-up people from the 'burbs trying to be wild. Disclaimer: I've only been here about six times in the last year out of about 150 nights out.

1. Ok Music choice by the DJ 2. Unsafe parking lot 3. Overpriced, low quality foods and drinks 4. Dirty floors, specially in the dance room.
