Finally reviewing the Clermont!  Let's be adults about it, this place isnt a strip club at all.  It is an awesome smokey dive bar with some old hags taking their clothes off.  It is one of the coolest places in the entire universe.  Cheap can beer, best karaoke in atlanta, parking isn't nearly as bad as people say it is, cash only, bad jokes from the dj, feet sticking to the floor.  What else do you need?  I would give it 5 but the inevitable hipster takeover has begun.  They seem to run every cool place right into the ground.  P.S.  Guys, the trough in the bathroom is not big enough to fit more than 1 at a time.  thanks

i came here twice... first time with my girlfriends and the second time with my sister and her boyfriend. Here's what I see. Clean high tech looking microphones and speakers are OK. (i have the professional mic and speakers at home so i may be a little biased here) service is good. atmosphere is cool. i saw lots of having a blast so it made me feel energized. Here's what I didn't really like. i felt like this place was more like a night club... i don't think they do "booking" here but there are definitely large amount of singles that go and check out girls and ask for phone number. watch out when you leave your private rooms to use the restroom. we were able to get good discounts and service. both times i went i had a blast and would probably go there again.

Update 2/1/07: Hate to say it but after a pretty rough experience planning an event here, I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth. Some of the staff and bartenders were great to work with, as were the DJs, but I think overall the ball was really dropped, from a high level, sacrificing an experience for dollars. Ah well, hope things improve, since the concept should and could be a grand one. ----- Update: Returned to supperclub for a recent party (launch of the new Sidekick) and was greeted like a regular by Stu and his staff. They seem to be really taking the idea of an experience to another level, working out the kinks of being a new hot club, while also creating an intoxicating atmosphere. Truly a unique nightime escape. Supperclub should have been the next Frisson or Otis to get panned by everyone, however not like Frisson but quite like Otis, the concept actually works surprisingly well. We went on opening week for my wife's birthday, so our party met at the bar for cocktails before mealtime. The space has been really well thought-out, it's elegant, stylish, welcoming. Drinks are as you would expect on the pricey side, but the atmosphere is worth it. Some good people watching to boot. Once our group was ready, our gracious MC sat us down in what I felt was the best seat in the house. Keep in mind that all the seats are actually more like beds and wrap around the dining room, sort of serving as a theater for the center stage. Throughout the evening, we  witnessed a variety of burlesque and acrobatic entertainment, sort of a mix between Moulin Rouge and Burning Man. I wouldn't say the performances were stunning but I'm sure they will work out some of the kinks with time... Now for the food: you pretty much decide either vegetarian or not, and the rest is up to the kitchen. I personally thought the combinations served on our visit were a bit too varied, lacking a complete theme, but overall the food was delicious. Our wines paired nicely with all courses too. The major issue was one of timing. When our reservationist told me this would be a dining experience, she neglected to tell me that we should expect to eat from eight to eleven. Again, perhaps this was just gettting the kinks out, and most of our group was more than happy to lounge and take in the dreamy experience, but each course did  seem to be brought out a bit haphazhardly. Supperclub is most definitely worth a visit. The menu promises to change about monthly, so once the staff gets its rhythm I'll be excited to check it out again. In the meantime, stopping by for after-work drinks or after the designated dinner time (around 10 to 11 on most nights) is also a nice way to see what all the buzz is about.
