You can count on Estate nights to be pricey. The DJ can be on fire, and then just plain annoying. 4 times out of 5 DJ is good though. I can only speak for Saturday Nights, Fridays are Latin Nights and not really my scene. The girl to guy ratio is always in the guys favor, 3:1 usually. The set up of the place is nice too, if you want to be jammed packed and part of the dancing you can, or you can escape upstairs to take a few shots and watch guys get rejected over and over again. I appreciate the decor, classic with a modern twist. The go-go dancers help humble all girls that think they are hotter than they really are. As far as dudes go you'll run into plenty of DBs, just make sure you have a set of your close friends and you won't care.

This place has been through some changes, growing pains (groin pains?) and has suffered a lot of criticism. To all you critics out there, I ask you . . . Where else can you dance till 4am, leave for donuts, then come back in at 6am & dance like a sugar-crazed maniac as the sun rises? Who else but the DJ's from the Kontrol party (1st Saturdays) can get you to jump and jump and jump from 11pm to 5am after a full day of work? (Last night's party was certainly with improved hours - 10pm - noon.) How else are you gonna dance all night (even as a single woman alone) and not get harassed by the unwanted attention from slimy guys? What else are you going to do after 2am in a city that shuts down embarrassingly early? $20 cover for long mad hours of dancing? You bet! Only complaints over the years are 2-fold: 1) I do believe it's evil (and unethical) for bars to charge for water - especially where people are dancing so hard for so long. 2) Accidentally showing up on reggae night - my fault for not checking, I know, but god, this is not my beautiful End Up! Lots of friendly people here. Hook up if you want to, but it's not an expectation, and, more importantly, it's not socially acceptable to pressure/slime on girls here. If you like dancing, and you like to surround yourself with a wide variety of jumping, wriggling people, do come check out this San Francisco tradition.

Good Times.
I enjoyed this bar because of it's laid back atmosphere. Although the food was a bit expensive, the drinks were cheap and were not watered down! (has anyone else been running into that lately?) The waitress and bartender were helpful and nice, nothing is worse than having to tip someone with an attitude. I will certainly go back.

This place drips with nostalgia (and grease) and I wouldn't want it any other way. Drunk Frat boys, cabbies, and Poncey regulars cram in the tiny diner for basic plates of eggs, BLT's, and whatever else can be cooked on a flat top grill. As is the rule for any food consumed past Midnight: the drunker you are, the better it tastes!
