Another discovery thanks to rateclubs. I drove by it twice because traffic was so heavy and I could not see where the place actually was. I went here on a rainy Saturday night and parked across the street for $5.00. It was also $5.00 to get in. Talk about underground! It was a steep walk to the dance floor but it was great to actually have space to dance at a club for once. There were older and younger adults and some girls even got on the stand near the DJ and started dancing. I have not listened to techno or dance music since the 90s. The DJ did play two rap songs "Low" by FloRida and "How Low" by Ludacris but they were dance remixes. Arrived at 11:30 and my friend and I were the only ones on the dance floor. By 12:30 it was packed and many people brought their drinks and since the majority of people on the floor were dancing, there were many spilt drinks that night. I made sure to avoid the middle of the dance floor. Great place to go if you want to avoid the hassle of waiting in line and having to pay money for a VIP booth if you want a seat like at other Atlanta area clubs.

I have been to National Mechanics on several occasions and have enjoyed it every time. A few reasons why: 1. They are the only place in the city that I know of that serves CORN DOGS. And the batter is the right ration of sweet : savory, they are crispy but not crunchy, and the "dog" portion closes the deal. 2. They have a $12 pub steak w. fries. Pretty awesome deal esp. given that when you order medium rare, you will almost always get medium rare. Once or twice I didn't, but that was made up by the fact that.... 3. You sit on church pews. I am huge fan of the decor. Where else can you sin while you simultaneously repent? Nowhere, dear rateclubsers, nowhere.

This place really sucks. With a name like "Rosa Mexicano" I was expecting some traditional mexican food....all I got was a fancy, watered-down menu that was trying too hard to be trendy. What ever happened to just serving some good mexican food? I don't hate many things, but I hated this place. How can you call yourself "Rosa Mexicano" and not serve chips and salsa???? They should be ashamed of themselves.
